What can I say, This year Had to be the best ever for The CFOA’s Cash Money
Killers. We started off with a 2nd place win in the D4 X-ball. 1st place wins in 3man.
In the end all we were looking for was that first place overall for the season win. We had a tremendous time going through the grind, losing some great talent throughout the season and fighting hard to get to the top at each event.
Saturday w played at straight to baller status as some would say. Finally having a very
decent sized roster,(something we lacked all season) with a couple new players bringing the original 6 CMK to 10. Like usual we started off strong taking our first game with a few penalties, but all in all it was fair. We were fighting for our bragging rights, so of course a few dirty traits are going to make their scuffle into a fight. We only had 2 games
on the Saturday. Won the first with a 3-1 and took our match with Hot Shot Kids to 3-0 witch we had to play 5 points in all do to stupid mistakes. (one of which was when one CMK player placed his condom on b4 he hung the flag.)
Sunday was a good day except for a few altercations with ATL Breakouts staff getting
on our bad sides, they played a good match, coming back and beating us in OT score
was 4-3 HSK cough (I mean ATL Breakout.) they were ok sports about the whole season
though. We knew we were going to just get them later, I mean its one of those teams
we just have always had to play twice.
So after that loss, we now had one of the better struts of all the teams out there. We
just had to go through one more team to get through prelims. We went in with the mentality to smash whomever we were going to play. And we did …Taking the match
4-0. Now we has set ourselves in the number 1 spot for the day. Which remember I said
we would meet up with that ATL team once again. Well they were in 4th at the end of prelims, with us in first with 3-1-1 with a margin of 9.
Now going into semi’s we were set that we were going to smoke these ATL guys.
we battled so hard. Dug, got the match over with and with time to spare. It was like they didn’t even seem to be the same team. They did just beat us little under an hour before. That was when we realized what just happen. We knew at the end of this semi’s match that Red Drank, the team we needed to beat was not even in our final’s lineup. They had lost earlier that day not even coming out of Prelims. We had this There was no stopping us now.
Regrouping, not even taking a chance to simmer on the glory that we are now champs.
We got right back in the pits, and started to get this last and final battle for 1st under our
feet. We took the first two points, played as fast and hard as if we didn’t want to let up.
Why give the other team a chance? Well that ended soon after we found we had a major
on the second point. Loosing 2 in a row soon after that horrid penalty. Then finally taking
another 3rd point and final point for CMK. With only 50 seconds on the clock Prestige World Wide happened to make a mad dash to pick up the tie and bring this game into an overtime point. With this stress on our plate, it was ares for the taking, ares to lose. This first place would show everyone we were supposed to be on top of the podium…and after a long fight, we proved just that. We were on top. We are the team that deserved this. We were X-ball 6 champs, and we are overall CFOA Division 4 champs. We are the ones you need to battle to make it out of the trenches. CMK till the day we die.
